Futures students graduate with self-discipline, time management skills and personal accountability, leaving high school uniquely equipped to face the rigors of college and career life.
For both Middle and High School, Futures Academy has adopted the graduation requirements as described by the California Department and Education (CDE). Students must complete all graduation requirements with all course grades posted onto transcripts at least one week prior to the graduation ceremony.
In order to earn a Futures Academy diploma, students need to earn no less than 220 credits and pass a competency exam by their senior year. Seniors must complete and pass – with 80% or higher – an ESLR (Expected Schoolwide Learning Results) essay to present to the appropriate teacher(s) prior to graduation.
I would definitely recommend this school to anyone that has a child that doesn’t learn “inside the box” of a traditional school system. Here they try to make the education revolve around the student, instead of the student conforming a standard syllabus.
